Web26 jun. 2024 · Migrate your file and printer shares off SBS and onto a non-DC server (putting them on a DC isn't recommended). fileshares are being migrated with some sort of robocopy command I believe. How do you practically migrate printer shares? Do I have to add the role Print and Document Services on the Server 2016 in order to do that? WebWell, I would absolutely not attempt to migrate an SBS 2011 to Server 2008, even if it wasn't a Domain Controller. So, don't try that. But, what your customer wants can be done. Just don't try to do it directly. Basically, you want to add a second Domain Controller to the domain, and then get rid of the SBS server as a Domain Controller.
