NettetNo. I enjoyed both Hill House and Bly Manor and thought Midnight Mass was absolutely awful. My wife is far less into anything horror related than me and she liked the first two and despised Midnight Mass, possibly even more than I did. It's not scary and the writing is laughably bad. NettetMidnight Mass isn't your typical horror. It's a slow burn thriller (with horror elements sprinkled in) that thematically tries to explore how we come to terms with our purpose in life. I loved Haunting of Hill House, hated Bly (I think the other Flanagan brother gets most of the "hate" credit for that), and loved Midnight Mass and Doctor Sleep.
